About CeCe Blue

Real ingredients. Real food. Happy dog.

Hi, I'm CeCe — author, educator, and dog-treat developer behind Canine Culinary Lab™ — and it all started with my German Shepherd, Nox.

How it began

Our daily walks around our Katy neighborhood turned into friendships. You see the same dogs and the same people every day, and before long, you're a little community — and ours happens to be full of foodies, always passing homemade dishes to one another. One afternoon, walking along the bayou and talking about what our dogs love to eat, I thought: our neighbors cook for each other all the time — why not the dogs?

Real food, real background

I hold a degree in Foods and Nutrition and a Master's in Training and Development — the first shapes what goes into every treat, and the second is exactly why I love teaching people how to make them. As I've gotten older, real food has mattered more and more to me, and I wasn't about to hold Nox to a lower standard than the rest of my family.

So I started making my own dog treats with real, simple ingredients, writing down the favorite each neighborhood pup actually loved, and turning it all into something personal: a hand-illustrated map of our walks, with every path named after a dog and a memory.

The book

That became Small Treats. Big Wags. — The Neighborhood Edition, a dog-treat cookbook that's really a love letter to our little Katy dog community. Every treat belongs to a real dog and a real place. Today I'm hard at work on a follow-up focused on nutrition for senior dogs — because the pups who've loved us the longest deserve the very best.
